Under the scope of FRIT II (Facility for Refugees in TURKEY), 1st Coordination Meeting on Socio-Economic Development was held on March 10, 2021 headed by EU Delegation to Turkey and hosted by ICMPD Turkey.

The meeting was held on March 10, 2021 headed by EU Delegation to Turkey and with the participation of Mr. Halil Afşarata responsible of the FRIT funds and Chief Advisor for Foreign Affairs to the Vice Presidency Office. Representatives from Ministry of Interior Directorate General of Migration Management (DGMM), Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services (MoFLSS), Ministry of Industry and Technology, KOSGEB, Agricultural Credit Cooperatives of Turkey, Turkish Red Crescent, line Ministries, Expertise France, KFW, World Bank have also participated to the 1st Coordination Meeting. Institutions connected to the 1st Coordination Meeting via Zoom have also shared their considerations.

Main subject of the coordination meeting; Increasing cooperation and coordination regarding projects implemented in the field of socio-economic development, talking about possible collaborations and promoting projects in the socio-economic field. At the same time, the opportunity to direct the practises was provided with the participation of representatives of public institutions in the relevant sectors. With the meeting held, experiences and learning opportunities were shared among the institutions, the opportunity to improve the coordination of the socio-economic portfolio was seized, and common coordination requirements were discussed. Presentations implementing on Social-Economic field by World Bank, kfW, Expertise France and ICMP have been shared.
