Within the scope of the ENHANCER Project, which is funded by the European Union and implemented by International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) under the coordination of the General Directorate of Development Agencies of the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey, on 7th December Food Sector Business Networking Meeting was held in Istanbul Office.

The event was held with the visit of ICMPD Director General Michael SPINDELEGGER and started with the opening speeches of ICMPD Portfolio Manager Pınar YAPANOĞLU and ICMPD Entrepreneurship Component Lead Deniz KARCI KORFALI. More than 20 entrepreneurs and cooperatives in total participated in our event, which was held with the aim of contributing to making local entrepreneurship ecosystems more effective and inclusive, and increasing employment opportunities by strengthening SMEs and cooperatives.

Following the opening speeches, Food Certification Training was given by Ali Bahadır ÇELİK, Deputy General Manager of GDA Laboratory Services, and Financial Literacy Training for Entrepreneurs was given by 360 İletişim, Project Director Pınar ERDOĞAN. Turkish and Syrian entrepreneurs had the opportunity to promote their own products during the matchmaking event, where they exchanged ideas for sustainable solutions in the food industry.
