
ICMPD Business Networking Events are organized within the scope of “Enhancement of Entrepreneurship Capacities for Sustainable Socio-Economic Integration (ENHANCER) project”, which is funded by the European Union and implemented by The International Center for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) in collaboration with the Directorate General of Development Agencies under the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye.
In this context, the ENHANCER Mersin Entrepreneur-Investor Meeting was held on 23 May 2025 in Mersin, under the coordination of the General Directorate of Development Agencies of the Ministry of Industry and Technology.
Hosted by the Young Entrepreneurs Center of Mersin University (Girişim Limanı) and organized in collaboration with the Çukurova, İpekyolu, and Eastern Mediterranean Development Agencies, the event brought together a total of 185 participants.
To support the entrepreneurs in preparing their investment pitches to be presented in a closed session to investors, an online pitch preparation workshop was held. In addition to this joint activity, 14 entrepreneurs received two individual online mentoring sessions aimed at strengthening their commercial activities.
As part of the ENHANCER Entrepreneur-Investor Meeting, in addition to the entrepreneurs’ presentations and a closed networking session with investors, a public panel was held in the morning session, open to all participants interested in the theme of the startup investment ecosystem.
During the event, 14 entrepreneurs held one-on-one meetings with investors and delivered presentations to explore potential investment and cooperation opportunities.
The event facilitated meaningful connections and the discovery of collaborative prospects. Following the event, further development of partnerships and evaluation of investment opportunities are anticipated. Investors expressed strong interest in the projects and ideas presented by the entrepreneurs and indicated their willingness to continue discussions to review technical details and make investment decisions.

MIOTE is an innovative startup that develops AI-assisted maintenance plans to increase machine efficiency by preventing malfunctions in electrical devices.
It collects continuous data from critical electrical equipment such as electric motors and transformers, and uses rule-based algorithms to predict failures and optimize maintenance strategies.
This proactive approach minimizes unexpected errors and enhances operational reliability. MIOTE, which gained attention for its potential, received support from the Çukurova Development Agency in 2022 and achieved commercialization in 2023.

Junk Design is a sustainable fashion brand that transforms waste materials into stylish and eco-friendly bags. By reusing materials like truck tarpaulins, fire hoses, and seat belts, the brand creates unique designs and promotes sustainability in the fashion industry. In 2024, it enhanced its impact by receiving equipment support through the SEECO Project.

3. Vegg Foods, Mersin (Turkish)
Vegg Foods is an innovative startup that repurposes surplus chickpeas into plant-based egg alternatives (Aquafaba BBYA) and produces gluten-free, vegan, allergen-free, and sustainable by-products (such as hummus flour and hummus sauce).
Based in Mersin, which accounts for over 80% of Turkey’s legume exports, Vegg Foods aims to tackle the industry’s price-oriented challenges by offering high value-added, niche, and sustainable food solutions.
4. Azand Sağlık ve Teknoloji, Hatay (Turkish)
AZAND Health and Technology has developed two innovative medical device prototypes under its “Intramedullary Nail-Assisted Locking System” project. These devices support orthopedic surgeries for treating long bone fractures (e.g., arm, femur, leg), making the process more efficient, cost-effective, and suitable for mass production.
Current commercial alternatives include external guides, navigation-assisted targeters, and magnet-based systems.
AZAND aims to redefine orthopedic surgery by offering more accessible and effective solutions in place of expensive and limited systems.

5. Recorto, Hatay (Turkish)
Recorto was established to address challenges in orthodontic treatment processes. Drawing on academic and clinical experience, the initiative aims to enhance the experience of both patients and specialists.
The company has developed a mobile application named “Recorto” to make orthodontic treatments—which typically last from one to three years—more effective and user-friendly. In the long term, Recorto aims to expand into other fields such as e-commerce, podcasting, gaming, and event organization within the dentistry and orthodontics sectors.
6. Fiyat Deposu, Gaziantep (Turkish)
Fiyatdeposu.com is an innovative online platform that connects construction material manufacturers, brands, dealers, and suppliers with contractors, craftsmen, engineers, and architects.
By offering a comprehensive catalog and quotation system, it streamlines the research, comparison, and procurement processes.
Public institutions are restricted to purchasing from standard item lists based solely on position numbers and descriptions, without specifying brands. However, there is currently no platform structured around these item codes. Fiyatdeposu.com fills this gap by providing a categorized database of products and services based on official definitions for both public and private sector professionals.
