Şanlıurfa and Gaziantep Provinces Risk Assessment and Monitoring Visit

Within the scope of ENHANCER Project, a call for proposal has been published in September 2020 within the scope of “Pilot Local Common Use Facility Grant Program for Şanlıurfa and Gaziantep provinces” to establish Local Common Use Facilities or to improve existing Local Common Use Facilities. Within the scope of the program, it is aimed that Syrians under Temporary Protection and Local Host Communities develop cooperation under these Facilities and benefit from the services required for entrepreneurship activities.

The ENHANCER Project Team organized a field visit for the Şanlıurfa and Gaziantep Provinces after signing the contracts and initiation of the projects. The aim of the field visit is First Risk Assessment and Monitoring and Development of Business Plans by Ecosystem Component. In addition, the general structure was examined and potential improvement areas were determined in order to prepare the needs analysis and business plans of the Local Common Use Facilities to be established.

In this context, meetings were held with Viranşehir Municipality, Karaköprü Municipality, Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality and Suruç Municipality in Şanlıurfa province on 22-23-24 March. Also, on 25-26 March Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce, Gaziantep Regional Industrial Design and Hybrid Modeling Center, Hasan Kalyoncu University and Gaziantep Technopark in Gaziantep Province was visited. After complementation of this meetings, the visits to the grant beneficiary institutions were terminated.
