Participant Testimonials

First of all, I was very satisfied with the training. As the child of a furniture maker, I learned many things from my instructors during the training that I could not learn from my father. My instructors’ eloquence and depth of knowledge played a significant role in my understanding of the topics. The field trip we participated in on the last day was a completely unique experience. It allowed me to reflect on and grasp what I had learned in the first three days. As someone who leans towards learning with more tactile and concrete examples, I can say it was far more informative for me than theoretical training. I would highly recommend this program to anyone interested in taking a step forward in the furniture industry.

We had an active learning experience that was both theoretically robust and hands-on, allowing us to learn at the heart of the industry with live examples in the field.

The knowledge I gained from the Technical Entrepreneurship in the Furniture Sector training organized by ICMPD, as well as the insights I acquired during the field visit, broadened my perspective. I sincerely thank my instructors for the valuable knowledge they imparted to us.

Although my father’s profession is furniture manufacturing, I initially approached the training with skepticism. I believed that online education, in particular, would diminish the quality of the training. However, the contributions of the esteemed instructors and their sector-specific insights during the training process partially changed my opinion.

I believe I could absorb these valuable lessons more effectively and have a richer experience by building direct relationships with participants in a face-to-face setting. The field visit organized as part of the training was a turning point for me. Even though I joined the visit with prejudices, the entrepreneurial stories shared by the company owner with genuine sincerity and their friendly approach completely shattered these preconceptions.

At the end of the visit, after having one-on-one discussions with the company owner, I received a promise that I could start working at the company after completing my military service, marking a new beginning for me. I left the visit not only with knowledge and inspiration but also with a job opportunity. This development became a great opportunity for me to steer my career in this sector and to improve myself.

This experience changed my perspective on the furniture industry, where my father devoted years of effort, and also showed me the potential of the sector and how far one could go with a visionary approach. Inspired by this experience and the respect I have for my father’s profession, I am now motivated to set greater goals in the furniture sector. I will work diligently not only to improve myself but also to carry forward the legacy of my family.
