Explanation

ICMPD Business Networking Events are organized within the scope of “Enhancement of Entrepreneurship Capacities for Sustainable Socio-Economic Integration (ENHANCER) project”, which is funded by the European Union and implemented by The International Center for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) in coordination with the Directorate General of Development Agencies under the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye.

In this context, ENHANCER Animation Hackathon gathered participants interested in the world of animation, fostering creativity and innovation in animated content creation, and nurturing connections within the animation industry. The event took place on June 30, 2024, with the intended audience comprising Syrians residing in Türkiye and Turkish citizens.

Participants of ENHANCER Animation Hackathon attended a panel discussion with leading figures in the animation industry and benefited from a minimum of 40 hours of mentorship sessions prior to and during the event. At the end of the event, teams whose work was deemed successful by the jury were awarded prizes.

Awards were given in three categories: animation exposure principles, technical timing, and idea scenario. Four teams were awarded in each category and the prizes are as follows.

Animation exposure principles category:

The first place winner: a gift check worth 86,000 TRY,
The second place: a gift check worth 64,400 TRY,
The third place: a gift check worth 43,200 TRY,
The honorable mention: a gift check worth 21,700 TRY.

Technical timing category:

The first place winner: a gift check worth 86,000 TRY,
The second place: a gift check worth 64,400 TRY,
The third place: a gift check worth 43,200 TRY,
The honorable mention: a gift check worth 21,700 TRY.

Idea scenario category:
